Dr. Phillip St. Louis is renowned for his expertise in the field of Neurosurgery. With an
unwavering commitment to advancing medical science and improving patient outcomes, he has
made significant contribution to the field of Neurosurgery, and has transformed the lives of
many individuals. His dedication, skill, and compassion have established him as a respected
leader in the Neurosurgical community.
Dr. St. Louis has over forty years of clinical experience. His research interests include Minimally
Invasive neurosurgical techniques, Brain Tumors, Neurorestoration, Robotics, and the treatment
of Complex Spinal Disorders . He has served as the Director of the Neurosurgery Department
and neurosurgical training program at the Southwest Regional Health Authority.
He is an Associate Clinical Instructor II in the Department of Clinical Surgical Sciences,
University of the West Indies, St Augustine. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor in the
College of Medicine, University of Central Florida, Orlando.
A proud graduate of Belmont Intermediate and St Mary’s College (CIC), Dr St Louis continued
his education at Nassau Community College NY, where he obtained his Associates Degree in
Science, whilst copping the Nassau Academy of Science Award. He then received his BSc. from
Howard University. He attended Hahnemann Medical School and completed his Neurosurgical
residency program at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio where he recieved the William E.
Lower Fellowship Thesis Prize..
Dr St Louis practiced Neurosurgery in Orlando Florida where he has been the Chairman of the
Neurosurgery Departments in both Orlando Health and Advent Health systems. During this time
he also received his MBA from Rollins College, Orlando, where he served on the Board of
Trustees of that institution.
He has been involved as a Mentor in the FIRE Program at the University of Central Florida,
College of Medicine, the 100 Black Men of Orlando and the Beta Xi Boule of the Sigma Pi Phi,
the oldest black fraternity in the United States of America. Dr.St.Louis has recieved the Florida
Hospital Physician Value Award for Excellence and the James R Smith NAACP Award.
An avid Researcher, and publisher, Dr St Louis has to his credit many scholarly articles in major
peer reviewed journals which he has both authored and co-authored. He continues to be actively
involved in scholarly research particularly in the treatment of Normal pressure hydrocephalus
and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques. The Esimaje Foundation provides Dr St Louis
the opportunity to interact and influence the positive development of young males in our
community.
